It's Written in the Stars

Drawn for and his beloved spouse . I saw their blog post [link] regarding how their relationship was started and I was inspired to this. Happy anniversary you two and here's to many years more.

This was essentially a dash-of-inspiration piece, though I worked on it over the course of two days. Hence the rushed quality of the piece, and the fact that DB and Fizzle are missing certain common accessories, namely DB's collar and tie, and Fizzle's steam-punk googles. Also I pretty much had to completely guess at the colour of Fizzle's irises and the colour for her cutie-mark since I didn't have any colour references for those. Near Future Dystopian can drop me a line about that and I'll try correcting them. The cutie-mark was quickly banged out in Inkscape, representing my first attempt at drawing one as a vector which I then saved as a PNG in GIMP. I'm guessing it's meant to be a glass sphere with the spherical heads found on Van-Der-Graf generators passing electricity back and forth. The electricity was not very well drawn, but I'll probably take a stab at refining it down the line, especially if Fizzle Pop's creator nudges me.

Oh and Fizzle's mane doesn't quite match the way that Lenia2005 draws it [link] but I was struggling with making that hair cut work on a My Little Pony at the angle I was drawing her so this case out. Suddenly I remember some show ponies having that very hair cut and...argh! Well a bit too late to go back, at least for now since I don't have much desire to tinker with this piece. (Though I haven't been nudged yet!)
